Wise Word For Those In Their 20s

So my very good friend and brother Akinyooye Azeez aka @LyricalSteam put this stuff up on Facebook and I've been willing to share it for a while.
This is a wise word for millennials or let me say young people in their 20s who have the privilege of working in this economy where getting a job is hard. Enjoy the piece.

On Adekunle Ayeni AKA Ayeni The Great

Adekunle Ayeni aka Ayeni the great. This is one guy I admire in the Nigerian new media/PR/advertising/entertainment industry.
Infact our stories are similar. We both studied Microbiology and have interests in the same kind of business/industries.

Self Evaluation Is The Way Forward For Me.

Well, I've never seen a great man who was satisfied with the status of things. Even the Aliko Dangote's of this world with all their wealth still strive hard to make more money even if its just to remain in the top ranks .
Maybe that's why I yearn for something better... because I'm not satisfied or I've not just found fulfillment yet.
This post is not even about money, its just about being entirely happy and having that feeling  of contentment.

My Startup Rant Series

So I know I've not been writing here as often as I should. You know how daily activities actually make you slow down on some things you planned to do initially. I hope to come back here more often so keep checking.
Anyway, I think I'll be starting a series called My startup rants. It's going to chronicle my journey of  building a successful startup in Nigeria.

On Marriage and partnerships

So I've been reading a lot about angels and venture capitalists outrightly acquiring or investing in some Nigerian tech startups (Truppr, Jobberman and most recently hotels.ng) and I got to think how these businesses were able to attract these really hard to find set of people to invest in businesses located in what many describe as an unpredictable territory (Nigeria, Africa) and of course the obvious answer pointed at the founders, the people behind these start ups. Those whose ideas became the million dollar internet businesses originating from Nigeria. The goals and visions they had and how they were able to bring them to life.

The Power Of People

There's nothing like a self made man!!! Yes I know you struggled to pay your school fees, start a business or to get that job. Listen...Everybody you've ever come across that has said either a kind or unkind word to you, encouraged you or discouraged you have in one way or the other contributed to what youve become today.

No matter what ýou aspire to become in life, it's people who will take you there. Therefore you must try to build quality relationships in every aspect of your life.
Personal life, professional life, social life. You'll need to learn how to converse right and know the art of selling/persuasion. Your ability to convince people to believe in you will go a long way to determine how far you go in life.

Talking about people, let me acknowledge some people who have one way or the other made me who I am today..
